Achievement Strategies for Special Education
This presentation will provide hands-on activities to support achievement strategies for special education students. Strategies will be reviewed and examples given that provide the greatest learning gains for special education students. Legal Concerns for the Special Education Classroom This presentation will review the key elements of special education that create legal concerns such as: (a) poor data review, (b) social media, (c) misuse of technology, (d) words that always result in legal actions, and (e) procedures that are written but not workable. Workable corrections for these concerns will be provided. The 50 most common Special Education errors that can land an Educator in Court This module will review these simple but costly errors in depth as well as provide solutions for each error. Para-Professional training in the area of Special Education This module focuses on Para's with Speech Education Students and Staff. There will be reviews of the history of IDEA, understanding IEP goals, knowledge of exceptionalities, methods to collect data, confidentiality, how they serve multiple roles, and effective instructional strategies for the Para-Professional.
